The two most popular Medicare Supplement plans are F & G.
Here’s a quick summary and chart for you to see the particulars.
PLAN F – The best, most comprehensive, plan available. Premiums are higher, but it covers everything and you would pay nothing in addition to the premium.
PLAN G – MOST POPULAR. Much like the Plan F, it covers everything except the Part B Deductible. Since the Part B Deductible is low, (2024 rate is $240/year), this is a great option. The premiums are lower than plan F.
HDF – High Deductible Plan F – This is just how it sounds. It covers the same as a traditional Plan F, but with a high deductible ($2800/year). The monthly premium is very low compared to the other options.
